Lightning Blackjack Casino Night

There are two types of blackjack players in South Africa. One okie likes to take things slow and wants a proper casino feel, even if he is playing on his phone. The other one is only in it for the quick decisions and quick results.

YesPlay’s First Person Lightning Blackjack is somewhat in the middle. While it is a first-person, 3D blackjack game made for speedy gameplays, it still feels like you are sitting at an actual table and not tapping on a cartoon.

Table myth

Myth: “First person” basically just means that it’s a slot game with cards.

Nope. You still make actual blackjack calls like hit, stand, double, split, insurance etc. The only thing that’s different here is that instead of watching a dealer you’re looking at the table and your own hand, which means that you’re the only one controlling the pace. You can read more about it and find it on YesPlay under Casino Games with Evolution as the provider.

Fee myth

Myth: The lightning multipliers cost you nothing. They’re a bonus.

Most people often miss this. The lightning version has a lightning fee which goes on top of your main bet. That’s what funds the multipliers. These multipliers usually go from 2x to 25x, but they can’t be used on the current hand you just won. Instead, they are used for the next round, meaning that you have to get lucky again to take advantage of them. Simply put, you’re paying for a boosted payout.

Pocket check

Myth: With a minimum bet of just R10, you won’t be breaking the bank.

You’ll usually see a starting bet of R10, but after they add that lightning fee, that “small” hand might end up costing you double per round, which is where most okes get caught, especially when they play on full auto and start cranking that speed up. If you plan on punting on this one, make sure to decide how much you’re going to spend during this session and avoid side bets like 21+3 or Perfect Pairs unless you are serious about it.
